{"id":3166,"date":"2026-07-09T16:02:51","date_gmt":"2026-07-09T22:02:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blackmesacasino.com\/?post_type=jobs&#038;p=3166"},"modified":"2026-07-09T16:02:51","modified_gmt":"2026-07-09T22:02:51","slug":"security-officer-casino-slot-stop","status":"publish","type":"jobs","link":"https:\/\/blackmesacasino.com\/jobs\/security-officer-casino-slot-stop\/","title":{"rendered":"Security Officer &#8211; Casino\/Slot Stop"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>POSITION TITLE:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 SECURITY OFFICER<br \/>\nSUPERVISOR:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Security Sergeant<br \/>\nSHIFT:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Varies <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>JOB LOCATION:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Black Mesa Casino\/Black Mesa Travel Center Slot Stop<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>BASIC PURPOSE:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is an entry-level position where the incumbent receives formal and on-the-job training in security procedures, duties and procedures relating to the protection, safeguarding, and security of Black Mesa Casino assets, personnel, customers, and visitors.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYPICAL FUNCTIONS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Observe casino operations for irregular activities such as cheating or theft by employees or patrons, using visual observation, audio\/video equipment when available.<\/li>\n<li>Report all violations and suspicious behaviors to supervisors, verbally, or in writing.<\/li>\n<li>Provide oversight and security for large currency transportation.<\/li>\n<li>Patrol allocated areas as directed, which includes the outside perimeter.\n<ul>\n<li>On foot or company vehicle (must be insured by company)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Work as a team with other security officers, staff, and departments.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain logs and\/or records of activity during the scheduled shifts.<\/li>\n<li>Provide assistance and\/or information to Casino guests and others when necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Enforce Black Mesa Casino employee badge procedures, Security Standard Operating Procedures as well as Black Mesa Casino Handbook.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain professional hygiene and appearance in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Attending and satisfactorily complete required training as directed by the Security Supervisor, Security Director, or the Human Resources Department.<\/li>\n<li>Must perform all duties in compliance with the casino\u2019s safety policies and procedures.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>OTHER DUTIES ASSIGNED<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>REQUIRED COMPETENCIES <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Integrity \/ Honesty<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All Black Mesa Casino employees must operate in an ethical manner by following all Black Mesa Casino policies and procedures relating to cash transactions, handling, tracking, and proper behavior between staff and customers. Incumbent must conduct oneself above the appearance of doing something wrong.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Customer Service \/ Client Orientation<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All Black Mesa Casino employees must be able to develop a clear understanding of customers\u2019 needs and goals while maintaining clear communication with customers regarding meeting their expectations. Must follow through and respond to customers\u2019 requests and inform them of action taken in a courteous, professional manner.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Teamwork<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All Black Mesa Casino employees must be competent in working effectively with division members and members of other divisions to resolve common issues or problems as well as listening and seeking others\u2019 perspective on how to complete assignments. Keeps others informed and up to date about tasks, progress, or projects.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Listening<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Incumbents in this position must be able to understand auditory messages and non-verbal cues to derive meaning from spoken material. Requires the ability to remain attentive.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Learning<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Incumbents in this position must have a desire and invest effort to acquire new knowledge and skills for work.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Effort and Initiative<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Incumbents in this position must have the ability to work and act without specific direction and without being monitored.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent, preferred <strong>and\/or<\/strong> 6 months experience in law enforcement, security, or surveillance preferred;
